The first of February 2024 marked a milestone at the IBM Fintechx Demo Day hosted by the IBM Innovation Studio Stockholm!
Over ten weeks, these visionary companies delved into the world of generative AI, working closely with IBM coaches and tapping into the vast resources of IBM Watsonx. The result? Each company emerged with cutting-edge generative AI feature Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), enriching their existing solutions.
The culmination of this collaboration was a user-centric investment pitch and live demo presented to an esteemed panel of jurors, including luminaries such as Ulrika Valassi, Niclas Södergård, Armando Coppola, Mats Holmfeldt, Leonard S., Mattias Ekman, and Evita Stoop.
Partners of the accelerator, such as Handelsbanken, Wellstreet, Ålandsbanken Abp Resurs, Crosskey Findec, Shibuya, and IBM Ventures, added immense value to this collaborative journey.

Regenerating Banking with AI: Paolo Sironi, leading the way at IBM Institute for Business Value, provided deep insights into the 2024 Global Outlook for Banking and Financial Markets. Statistics revealed that 86% of banking organizations embrace or prepare for generative use cases, with risk compliance reporting and client engagement leading the charge.
️ Antouman Jallow kickstarted the event, while Urban Roth moderated the day. Emma Bachner provided a unique twist by allowing attendees to vote for the best pitch—a testament to the diverse and friendly styles showcased by each company on stage.
